Announcing New Co-Chair for the PCC Disparities Subcommittee

Evelyn González, MA joins Charnita Zeigler-Johnson as Co-Chair of the PCC Disparities Subcommittee to ensure cancer plan implementation activities address availability, accessibility, and affordability for disparate individuals and population groups.

Ms. González is currently the Senior Director for the Office of Community Outreach at Fox Chase Cancer Center and has over 30 years in public health focused on health disparities and health equity. In that role, she oversees the implementation of community engagement programs which includes education, cancer screening and community research. Recognized as a passionate health advocate, Ms. González has been honored for her outstanding commitment to the health of Latino by the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen.
Ms. González is an author and educator who received her Master’s degree in health advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Her professional career includes work in reproductive healthcare, maternal and child health, genetics, cardiovascular disease, oncology and community health workers.
